Arrow Solutions celebrated its 50th birthday in style at the weekend when it entertained nearly 100 of its closest customers and strategic partners.
The company, which specialises in manufacturing high quality cleaning and maintenance products, put together an action-packed two-days of activities that ranged from playing golf at The Belfry and off road driving to clay pigeon shooting and learning how to throw an axe.
Guests came from China, Faroe Islands, Norway, Turkey, Russia, Saudi Arabia and Turkey among other countries to join in the party and reinforce the close partnerships that have helped the Moira-based firm grow into a respected supplier to the aerospace, automotive, oil and gas, rail and commercial hygiene sectors.
Jonathan Lane, Sales Director at Arrow Solutions, commented: “This has been a very exciting year for our business and we wanted to share it with the people and companies that have played and continue to play an important role in our journey.
“We are enjoying increased sales both at home and abroad and have used our 50th birthday to launch several new products, including increasing our range of industrial wipes that are proving extremely successful.”
He continued: “This expansion has been down to the close agreements we have with our distributors and the excellent working relationships we have in place with customers, including many global OEMs.
“The last two days have been all about celebrating those partnerships and I think everyone who attended had a great time and the opportunity to discover more about Arrow, with lots of informal meetings taking place amongst the fun and games.”
A special gala dinner was held on the Friday evening as the main event of the weekend, with guests hearing from Joint Managing Director Tony Brealey on joining Arrow Solutions as a stop-gap job only to still be here nearly 40 years later.
He was followed on stage by Amit Mathur (Managing Director of Bitec in Dubai) and Paul Melrose (Sales Director of Instock in Scotland), who both gave personal insights of their working relationships with Arrow, before Tom Brunsvik of Aquatiq in Norway gave an entertaining reflection and photo highlights of a relationship that has spanned more than four decades.
Traditional gifts to mark the company’s 50th birthday were presented from customers in China, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Singapore and Russia.
The final element of the night was a performance by Mark Shortland, one of the best kept secrets in magic.
He first entertained with some amazing close-up tricks, before a high energy cabaret show had all of the guests laughing and wondering ‘how he did it’.
