Spill Control - Amphibious Spill Kits
| The storage of fluids on industrial sites is surrounded by an increasing weight of legislation. The is backed up by Pollution Prevention Guidelines which are published by the Environment Agency. It may be that your legislative requirements are simply met by putting absorbent socks in position around a leaky machine, or you may need a full survey to be carried out to establish the potential for spills and cover all eventualities. Whatever your requirements, Arrow has the products to meet your needs and the expertise to carry out surveys and advise you if this is required. Amphibious Spill Kits are a unique range of specialist spill kits for removing oil from the surface of water. Designed for use on the sea, they can equally well be used on canals, rivers, lakes or other inland waterways. Based around a hard wearing flexible sack, the kit is easily stored and transported. It can be carried by two men, loaded into a vehicle or boat and can either be lowered, or thrown into the water, where it will float when filled with new absorbents. After the absorbents have been used they can be recovered in the sack, which will allow the water to drain away whilst retaining the recovered oil. Each sack has 4 crane hoist points for recovery, with a combined breaking strain of 2 tonnes. All absorbents are 'oil only'. Orders may be subject to an additional delivery charge.
